Our story
It started with onedog
We still remember the first one. A small dog, ribs visible beneath a scruffy coat, lying in the middle of a road. Not barking. Not running away. Just curled up there, as if he'd stopped expecting anything from anyone.
The moment that changed everything
We bought a bag of kibble from a nearby shop. Poured a little into a plastic cap. And watched him eat as if he hadn't seen food in days. He probably hadn't.
That moment broke something inside us. Not in a sad way. In the way that stops you from looking the other way.
We started noticing them everywhere. Behind restaurants. Under bridges. Along the roads. Dogs who once belonged to someone, now surviving on scraps and luck.
The idea was simple: bring together thousands of people who, like us, want to help these invisible dogs. Together, we could provide meals to many more.
That's how Help the Paws was born.
The numbers are hard to believe
There are more than 900 million dogs in the world. 75% of them don't have a home.
That's around 675 million dogs living on the streets right now, searching for their next meal.
Most of them have never belonged to anyone. They were born on the streets, and on the streets they'll die. When a human approaches, more than half run away in fear.
They aren't statistics. They're living animals that feel pain, hunger, and loneliness the same way your dog does.
So we created something different
We didn't start a non-profit. We built a company.
Charities do incredible work. But they often don't have the time to build online communities, design products, or find ways to reach people like you on a Tuesday evening while you're scrolling on your phone.
